　　曾子问曰：“祭必有尸乎？若厌祭亦可乎？”孔子曰：“祭成丧者必有尸，尸必以孙。孙幼，则使人抱之。无孙，则取于同姓可也。祭殇必厌，盖弗成也。祭成丧而无尸，是殇之也。”孔子曰：“有阴厌，有阳厌。”曾子问曰：“殇不祔祭，何谓阴厌、阳厌？”孔子曰：“宗子为殇而死，庶子弗为后也。其吉祭，特牲。祭殇不举，无肵俎，无玄酒，不告利成，是谓阴厌。凡殇，与无后者，祭于宗子之家，当室之白，尊于东房，是谓阳厌。”
